UUencodes a file in PETSCII. (See 3.3.7.10, UUencode in PET)
5.4 Multiple file scratch
This option brings up the file selection
screen and allows you to select
files to be scratched. Before bringing
up a menu of files, Novaterm
prompts you for a pattern match. This
allows you to enter
Commodore DOS wildcards to bring up only
certain files. For
example, if you entered per*,
only file names beginning with the
letters per
are shown. Pressing RETURN
here without an entry brings
up all files.
The file selection menu brings up the first
21 files on the disk and
displays them in the left-hand column.
To select files, move the menu
bar to the file you want and press RETURN
or F3.
This puts the file
name in the right-hand column. Repeat
this until you have selected all
of the files you want. To call up the
next 21 files from the directory,
press F5.
If you select a file you don't want, move the menu bar to
the file name in the right-hand column
and press F4
to remove it.
Once you are finished, press F7
to start erasing the files you have
selected.
With the menu bar in the right-hand column,
you may edit or add file
names by typing them in directly rather
than paging through the
directory list. Move the menu bar to the
file name you wish to edit,
and press RETURN.
You may then re-type the file name. If you move
the menu bar to the blank line below the
last file name and press
RETURN,
you may type in a new file name.
