Keys to Typing From Batteries Included, by Gilles Dignard, 1984 Introduction to the Program Keys to Typing teaches you to TOUCH TYPE or to improve your typing skills. The lessons are made up of EXERCISES much like those in typing courses taught in school, college or university. This typing course is presented and managed by the computer. The lessons gradually become harder. You may move ahead at your own learning speed by choosing your own EXERCISE order. You may also play the SPEED AND ACCURACY GAME after each EXERCISE or each LESSON. The LESSONS begin with an introduction to the keyboard. Keyboard INPUT KEYS and FUNCTION KEYS as well as the HOME ROW positions are taught. This prepares you to start to practice each key and letter in a set order. To best improve your TOUCH TYPING skills, you must follow these instructions: Review the MAIN MENU. (It is made up of the following:) 1) Current Lesson Identifier 2) ? - Introduction to the program 3) A - Load a lesson 4) B - Read lesson instructions 5) C - Do lesson exercises 6) D - Play speed/accuracy game 7) E - Leave program To learn more about these, either refer to the printed documentation, or, in the cases of items 3 to 6, you may get the manual from the disk. The manual for that part of the program will then appear on your screen.
