The variable 'T9' in line 1750
controls the number of errors the
student may make before the correct
answer is given.


FRENCH FWC:

Program Name: French Verbs FWC

This is a very extensive program
which includes review of 're' and 'er'
verbs, irregular verbs, and the
formation of negatives. There is also
a test marked out of 30 (The mark is
converted to a percentage as well),
based on the review material.

The reward for passing the test is
a French 'HANGMAN' game - in order
to guess a letter, the student must
correctly answer a translation
question (e.g., 'What is the infinitive
translation of FUMER').

Please Note:

Some questions in this program are
written out in the program itself,
but the 'test' and 'Hangman' questions
are randomly generated.

From this difference, unfortunately,
two weaknesses arise: (1) those questions
written into the program repeat each
time the program is run, and (2) those
questions which are random sometimes
come up twice in a row, or twice in
three questions.

You may use whichever verbs you wish
by changing the 'data' statements
in the program list.

The 'data' statements are in lines
4310 to 4470, inclusive.
